As part of ICN’s existing sponsorship program, sponsors can give above and beyond the normal amount to build the scholarship fund for their child.

ICN places this money in a high-interest bearing account and does not touch it. When the child enters high school and then goes on to university or vocational school, the money is applied to that child’s educational costs as tuition fees increase.

When you participate in the worldwideWalkathon, you are building the scholarship fund of one very real child. All the pledged money, or donations per kilometer of the walk, will be applied to your scholarship child’s educational account.

After the walk, the child whose education you supported will be writing you a letter thanking you for your support. Feel free to write back to this child, or even to travel with us and meet him/her face to face.
